SSC MTS Apply Online : Staff Selection Commission on Thursday released the notification of MTS and Havildar Recruitment 2024. Recruitment has been done for 8326 posts of SSC MTS and Havildar (SSC MTS Vacancy 2024). There are 4887 vacancies for MTS and 3439 vacancies for Havildar. Online applications for this recruitment will be taken on ssc.gov.in till 31st July. The last date for fee payment is 01 August 2024. Corrections can be made in the application form on 16th August and 17th August 2024. During this time, correction fees will also have to be paid. Computer based examination will be held in October November. The special thing is that in CBT mode the written examination will be conducted in one phase (in multiple shifts). Any candidate will have to appear for the written examination on the same day. Both sessions will be held on the same day. The exam will be held in two sessions of 45 minutes each. The medium of examination will be English, Hindi and 13 regional languages. Through MTS recruitment, recruitment is done on the posts of peon, watchman, jamadar, gardener, gatekeeper etc. in various departments of the central government. With this, recruitment will be done on the posts of Havildar in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CBN).
Online Test Format for SSC MTS Apply Online
SSC MTS Recruitment is a great opportunity for those candidates who are weak in Math’s and Reasoning who are dreaming of getting a government job. Actually this examination will be held in two sessions.
Both sessions will be held on the same day. The first session will be of Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. 20-20 questions of 60-60 marks will be asked in both Reasoning and Math’s. That means a total of 40 questions will come from Reasoning Math. Session-1 will be qualifying only. General category candidates will have to score only 30 percent marks in this i.e. they will have to get only 12 questions correct out of 40. OBC and EWS will have to solve only 10 questions and SC/ST will have to solve only 8 questions. There will be no negative marking in this session.
Session-2 will open immediately after the end of Session-1 of 45 minutes duration. This will also be of 45 minutes. In this session, questions from General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension will be asked. 25 questions each will be asked from both General Awareness and English which will be of 75 marks each. The final merit list for the post of MTS will be made on the basis of marks obtained in this session. That means, merit will be made on the basis of 150 marks of session-2. There will be negative marking in session-2. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The above computer based examination will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Qualifying Marks (Minimum Marks) in both the sessions
The performance of the candidate in Session-I will be checked first and the performance in Session-II will be evaluated only if the candidate passes Session-I.
The minimum qualifying marks in Session-I as well as Session-II of the Computer-Based Test are as follows:

Educational Qualification – For both the posts of MTS and Havildar – 10th pass.
Age Limit for SSC MTS Apply Online
Age Limit – 18-27 years.
MTS – 18-25 years. Havildar – 18-27 years. SC and ST category candidates will be given maximum age relaxation of five years and OBC will be given three years relaxation. Age will be calculated from 1st July 2024.
Age and educational qualification will be calculated from July 1, 2024.

Final Selection Criteria for SSC MTS Recruitment
How will the final selection be done?
For MTS post, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Session II of CBE. For the post of Havildar, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their appearance in PET/PST in the ratio of 1:7 (Vacancies: Candidates) and their performance in Session II of CBE.
Cut-off Marks for SSC MTS Recruitment
State-wise cut-off marks
For MTS post, there will be separate category-wise, state/UT wise cut-offs in Session II. Since the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission will release separate age group-wise, category-wise and State/UT-wise cut off in CBE. -Can set off.
