Information about classes, syllabus etc. will also be provided to the students through flash messages by the concerned university/college/institution.

  • Answer Students do not require registering or applying on any portal to avail the scheme benefit. They will be informed about the status by their respective College/Institute/University Campus through SMS/Email/Notice/Official Website.
  • Who all are intended to use this portal and how can they register themselves?
  • Answer Anyone can access this portal. Universities/Boards/Societies/Councils, College/Institutes, Nodal Officers at District Administration Level, UPDESCO and other bodies authorized by the GoUP from time to time, will be able to access this portal. Also, the users do not have to get themselves registered on portal. There logins will be created by the authorized users of software after which their Login details will be sent on their registered Mobile No. and Email ID.
    However, educational and career related content would be available on the portal without any login or registration
  • What is the process to submit students’ data on portal?
  • Answer There is no registration to be done by students on the portal. The data is to be provided by the institute, via their universities. A technical process has been defined for the same. All Universities/Colleges/Institutes and other Educational Bodies will be informed about the process through Email or Notification or Notice or Official Website.
  • Do students have to pay any fee to receive Tablet/Smartphone?
  • Answer No charge has been initiated by the GoUP to avail the benefit.
  • Where should students contact to know the schedule of distribution of device or any other scheme related information?
  • Answer Students are advised to regularly visit the official portal of DigiShakti & Official Website of their College/Institute/University to keep themselves informed or they can contact their respective College/Institute/University Campus for more information.
  • My data has been sent by my institute/university for this scheme. When shall I expect my device?
  • Answer As on date (28th Dec’21, 5pm), 37,08,713 students’ data has been uploaded on the portal from various institutes/universities, and this data is being continuously updated by the stakeholders. In the first phase, that is till March’22, the distribution of devices would be done to Final Year students of all courses, and the students of courses with duration 1 year or less. The distribution of next phase will cater the other students thereafter.

  • Answer The MDM enrolment has been done for the enterprise deployment of the devices. This ensures that enterprise grade security features are available in the device, it prevents device from data loss, phishing and blocks malware. If device gets stolen, it can be remotely locked by the admin when end user reports such device loss. MDM helps in pushing educational content and career related content to the devices directly, though dynamic wallpaper and boot logo, which helps end user to stay updated with the latest government policies.
